WHO WE ARE.

The KongStrong Classic is played in the memory of our friend and family member, Jim Anderson. In April of 2018, Jim was diagnosed with aggressive Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. After just two and half  months, Jim’s courageous battle came to an end on June 25, 2018. 

Within the first week after Jim’s diagnosis, he said that if he can use his unfortunate circumstance to change lives, then that is exactly what he was going to do. Jim changed so many lives during his short 50 years here on Earth and he is going to continue to change lives for many years to come.

WHAT WE DO.

By contributing to the KongStrong Classic, you are helping to fulfill Jim’s goal of changing lives. By being able to take a sad, tragic situation and find a positive outcome, the world changes for the better, one life at a time. 

Although he had many, Jim’s most passionate hobby was supporting his daughters, Annika and Abby, throughout their competitive softball careers. As many parents would agree, all they want to do is see their kids succeed at what they love doing most.

OUR MISSION.

The KongStrong Classic raises money for two separate reasons. 

The first is to provide kids who have been impacted by cancer or disease either directly, or indirectly through a family member or loved one, the opportunity to further their education as well as their athletic careers. 

The second is to provide funds for unexpected incurring costs not covered by insurance to families who are being impacted by disease.

Both of these circumstances will impact lives for the better.
